C3 College

Hope City Academy has a strategic partnership with C3 College in Sydney Australia. In collaboration with C3 College, we have created a course that aligns to their Certificate IV (First Year) Ministry and Theology Course.

This means that students who complete one year of the Academy may be eligible to receive advance standing at C3 College. This will allow these students who have successfully completed our first year course to proceed directly into the Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (Second Year) course at C3 College.

C3 College also has an articulation relationship with Alphacrucis College which can allow students to continue studying to receive a Bachelor of Theology or a Bachelor of Contemporary Ministry. Students enrolled in C3 College can begin their degree studies alongside their Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.

Accreditation & Visas

C3 College is fully accredited by the Australian Government as a Registered Training Organisation which has CRICOS registration. C3 College can therefore issue Confirmations of Enrolments which allow overseas students to obtain student visas.

Oxford Falls

C3 College is embedded within the thriving C3 Church Oxford Falls, which is the Flagship church of the C3 Church movement and has over 400 churches worldwide. C3 Church Oxford Falls has a great community for students to join and an abundance of opportunities to get practical ministry experience.

College Life

C3 College is a multi-national College community which embraces students from all over the world. It is located at Oxford Falls, 10 minutes from some of the best beaches of Sydney, 15 minutes from the iconic tourist destination Manly and 30 minutes from the centre of Sydney.

CHURCH PARTNERSHIP

Partnership Scheme

The Hope City Academy Partnership Scheme is designed to support churches who would like to run an Academy course but who don’t currently have the resources to provide the full spectrum of teaching and practical training that a full time course can provide.

Our Partnership Scheme gives Church leaders an opportunity to combine their own interning and discipling with a successful training programme with over 20 years experience and facilitated by leaders and practitioners with significant proven ministries from across the UK and around the World.

Through partnering with us we want to give your church the opportunity to provide a comprehensive training programme for your young and emerging leaders that you can confidently promote within your own local church. We want to provide you the framework for raising up new leaders that won’t cost you the earth or drain the valuable time of your leadership team in trying to cover a wide range of different practical and theoretical instruction.

Why Partner

Partnership works threefold.

1. It equips your students through a comprehensive training programme with input from world-class leadership. Students will receive lectures each week at the Hope City Academy Training Centre (based at the home of Hope City Church in Sheffield) from a wide range of proven and experienced senior leaders. They will also have the option to learn alongside existing ministries.

2. It resources your church by growing your young and emerging leaders to engage with and develop the core ministries within your own local context. After their time at the Training Centre students will return to work and serve in your local church reporting to your own leadership for additional mentoring and discipleship. This also gives them an opportunity to find a part-time job locally to help finance their year.

3. It resources you with all that you need to provide and promote your own ‘Leadership Academy’ in your local context. We want to ensure that you are able to offer your church the best experience and so throughout the year our Partnership Team will be available to give you advice and guidance on setting up and promoting the Academy.

GENERAL INFO

ACCOMMODATION & LIVING

GENERAL LIVING COSTS
We recommend students budget between £350 – £450 per month above accommodation costs for general living costs like food, transport, utility and phone bills as well as personal spend. The course is designed to allow space for students to find flexible part-time work locally to help finance their year. This should be considered prior to arrival as once the year starts it can be more difficult to focus on finding a job when you will be engaged in church and Academy life.

ACCOMMODATION
Where possible we encourage students to arrange their own accommodation. However we appreciate that some students may travel a great distance and so we do provide some limited options. Individual needs can be discussed at the interview stage.
Sheffield has two large universities and as a result there is a great deal of student accommodation on the market from £70-80 per week. If you would like help in finding some student accommodation then please speak to the Academy Pastors for details of options available. Each year there is always a number of prospective students looking at this option and where possible we will try to connect you with each other so that you can find accommodation as a group which is often easier.
